  • Compact Disc (CD) + Digital Album

After Battalion Zośka’s self-titled release in 2019, the band had a lineup change that brought long time producer and engineer Arik Victor on guitar, as well as Steve Vaiani on the drums. The new lineup wasted no time in writing and recording new songs for their sophomore effort “New Blood”.

Battalion Zośka’s newest album “New Blood” contains 16 blistering soon to be punk classics. The band intentionally tries to capture the sound and spirit of 70’s & 80’s punk and hardcore while trying to sound fresh and new.

“New Blood” features guest appearances by many punk superstars. Dez Cadena (Black Flag/ Misfits) added guitar on the tracks “Everyday’s The Same”, “Kids”, “Thick In The Head” & “Tried & Failed” which gave these songs a sonic style that only Dez Cadena could provide. Ian Woodcock and Brian Chevette, members of legendary punk band Eater, provide guitar and bass on the cover track “Outside View”. Also appearing are Fish (Skeptix/ Discharge) on the tracks “Warszawa” & “Kiss the Ring” as well as Neil “Newts” Newton of the Angelic Upstarts and vocals by Peter Cornter (Dag Nasty/ Field Day).

This will be released on 12" vinyl in October.

lyrics

I can't embrace you as you're today's emulation
Another cheap product imitation
Elitist and entitled, you're a poor misfortune
Teenage angst with no real warning

A couple of chords now you've learned how to play
You enjoyed the Rebellion you weren't here to stay
What's fashionable and popular, just attracting increase support
Like the chemical intoxicants you could never abort

Blown out like the wind
You were never in
Tell me why I should care
Life isn't fair

Tried and failed on a two year career
Dictating how I think and what I should hear
Time got nicked as you cry misfortune
Artistic expression through public extortion

Not a part of '77 or '82
Society doesn't need another knob like you
Quibble around, so easily offended
Simulated noise, but it's never authentic

Inherited arrogance, you've been mistreated
No apologies cause you're brash and conceited
Contribute to yourself and you're aspirations
You can fuck right off! I see through you!
